Iran, Azerbaijan, Iraq judo federations sign memorandum of understanding

The Islamic Republic of Iran Judo & Kurash Federation, Azerbaijan Judo Federation and the Iraqi Judo Federation have signed a trilateral agreement on the promotion of cooperation and interaction between the governing bodies responsible for organizing national teams as well as club competitions in the three countries.

During a ceremony in the Azerbaijani capital city of Baku on Thursday, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Judo & Kurash Federation, Mohammad Derakhshan, and his Azerbaijani and Iraqi counterparts Sadiq Sadiqov and Samir al-Musavi signed the memorandum of understanding.

The agreement aims to raise the level of cooperation and to deepen relations between the three countries in judo.

Holding training courses for Iranian, Azerbaijani and Iraqi male and female coaches and referees, organizing tournaments and exchanging expertise on sport and exercise medicine are among the other objectives of the MoU.
