A spokesman for the Iranian armed forces stated that the governments of regional Islamic countries are expected to deter the United States and the Israeli regime from conducting barbaric attacks on Iran's civilian energy infrastructure; otherwise, similar actions will be taken in the region.
The spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, highlighted the criminal nature of the ongoing assaults by "criminal America" and the "barbaric Zionist regime."
Zolfaghari emphasized Iran's restraint and strategic patience, stating that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, despite possessing superior intelligence and advanced offensive capabilities, have deliberately refrained from reciprocal actions out of respect for the interests of Muslim peoples in neighboring countries.
"The governments of Islamic countries are expected to warn criminal America and the barbaric Zionist regime against these inhumane and cowardly actions as soon as possible," the spokesman stated.
He warned that failure to do so would allow the flames of war to spread further, forcing Iran to respond in kind with similar measures across the region.
He noted that, despite the hypocritical claims of concern for the Iranian people, these US and Israeli aggressors have failed to achieve any military gains beyond the brutal killing of innocent civilians, including defenseless children, women, and men. They have now escalated to targeting vital fuel and energy facilities as well as public service centers essential to the Iranian population.
In reference to the potential global consequences, Zolfaghari added, "If you can tolerate oil exceeding $200 per barrel, continue this game."
The statement underscores the Armed Forces’ commitment to defending Iran’s sovereignty and people while urging regional Muslim nations to play a constructive role in preventing wider escalation and protecting shared Islamic interests against continued aggression.
The National Iranian Oil Refinery and Distribution Company reported that the United States and Israeli regime carried out missile attacks on oil depots in the provinces of Tehran and Alborz late on Saturday as part of their strikes on Iran’s infrastructure.
In a post on his X account on Sunday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei stated that the US-Israeli attacks on fuel storage facilities amount to nothing less than “intentional chemical warfare” against the Iranian citizens. He noted that the US-Israeli criminal war against Iran has entered a dangerous new phase as the enemies conducted “deliberate” strikes on the country’s energy infrastructure.
