The commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters says those responsible for the martyrdom of the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, will face retribution, describing the massive funeral processions as a powerful demonstration of faith, resistance, and solidarity.
Major General Ali Abdollahi, head of the operational headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Armed Forces, said in a message issued on Thursday that those responsible for the martyrdom of the late Leader would face justice through retribution, adding that the massive funeral processions would go down in history as an enduring symbol of grandeur, insight, faith, jihad, and resistance.
The top commander warned the United States and Israel against interpreting the public mourning as a sign of weakness, emphasizing that world powers led by “criminal America” and the “wicked Zionist regime” should not mistake the nation’s grief and anger for vulnerability.
"This sacred mourning and righteous anger will endure in the pursuit of retribution against the assassins of the martyred Leader, the leader of Muslims and freedom-seekers around the world, as well as the oppressed martyrs of the second and third imposed wars, and they will ultimately be brought to justice," General Abdollahi stated.
Describing the funeral as a powerful political and religious declaration, he said, “The unprecedented presence of the Islamic Ummah was far more than a farewell ceremony; it was a resounding cry for justice and a decisive rejection of the schemes of the world's hegemonic powers, clearly distinguishing truth from falsehood.”
“This human uprising reflects the profound bond between the will of awakened nations and the exalted path of martyrdom,” General Abdollahi said.
He also expressed his profound gratitude to the peoples of Iran and Iraq for their role in creating an epic display of unity through historic funeral processions held in both countries.
While pledging retaliation against those responsible for the assassination, the top commander said Iran's Armed Forces would act with the support of Muslim nations and advocates of freedom.
“The brave sons of the nation in the Armed Forces, relying on Almighty God and backed by Muslim and freedom-loving nations, will, through revolutionary action, rob the enemy of sleep and sooner or later exact vengeance on those responsible for these terrorist crimes,” General Abdollahi stressed.
Ayatollah Khamenei was assassinated in a coordinated US-Israeli attack on February 28, at the outset of the 40-day war of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.
