Israel Gaza truce violations

The Gaza strip continues to come under Israeli attacks amid warnings of a severe storm that threatens to deepen the humanitarian crisis for displaced families. IOF carried out airstrikes and shelling from north to south in Gaza City's Shujaeya and Tuffah residential neighborhoods, the Al-Bureij refugee camp, and the cities of Khan Yunis and Rafah. According to Gaza Health officials, one Palestinian was killed and some six others injured within the past day. Gaza’s media office says 738 Israeli violations have resulted in the death of 386 Palestinians since the ceasefire was implemented. The office also warned of a strong polar storm arriving Wednesday, posing risks of flooding and strong winds that could damage tents and shelters. Hamas says the tents are unsuitable for rain. They both held the Israeli regime accountable and called for urgent international relief operations. The genocidal war since October 2023 has taken the lives of almost 70,400 Palestinians.

Malnutrition killing Gaza children

UNICEF warns that humanitarian aid entering Gaza is far from enough to meet the urgent and growing needs of the people. The UN agency says it's facing multiple obstacles in delivering critical assistance to those affected in the besieged territory. In October alone, over 9,300 children suffering from malnutrition were treated at UNICEF centers in Gaza, highlighting the severe hunger crisis there. Since October 2023, 165 children have died from malnutrition, underscoring a deepening food emergency that puts thousands of young lives at immediate risk. UNICEF has cautioned that the aid shortfall demands urgent international action to prevent greater tragedy.

Thailand-Cambodia clashes

Renewed clashes between Thailand and Cambodia continue for a second day, as the fate of a US-backed peace deal has been put into question. According to the Cambodian government, Thailand’s military resumed attacks on Tuesday in border regions, killing two more civilians. This brings to Nine, the number of Cambodian civilians killed in the renewed clashes. Thailand also report that several of its soldiers were killed in the fighting. On Monday, Thai forces launched airstrikes along the disputed frontier, as the Southeast Asian neighbors traded blame for the escalation. The violence in the past 48 hours has displaced thousands as well. Considering the fresh exchanges of fire, the fragile truce that was brokered in July by President Donald Trump is now a collapsed deal.
