Indirect Iran-US talks

Iran’s president says no country has the right to dictate whether Iran can or cannot have a peaceful nuclear program, reaffirming the country’s determination not to bow to coercion. Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran’s indirect negotiations with the US are based on the policies set by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. He reiterated that the Leader has strictly prohibited the development of nuclear weapons, calling it Iran’s definitive policy. The president stressed that Iran only seeks its legal and internationally recognized rights, and nothing more. He warned foreign powers, particularly the US and the UK, against interfering in Iran’s internal affairs. Pezeshkian also touched on the ongoing threats posed by adversaries like Israel, saying Iran must preserve its nuclear knowledge to be able to defend itself.

Rejecting E3 allegations

Iran has categorically rejected the latest allegations by three European countries about violating the UN Security Council resolution 2231, calling them factually misleading and politically biased. Iran’s UN ambassador said allegations raised by the UK, France and Germany are the result of exaggerating certain aspects of the latest International Atomic Energy Agency’s reports. Amir Saeid Iravani reiterated that Iran's nuclear program is entirely peaceful, and all activities are under one of the most rigorous verification and monitoring regimes by the IAEA. He said the E3 are in violation of the Security Council resolution 2231 due to their compliance with unlawful US sanctions against Iran. He also slammed the E3’s claim about Iranian officials advocating for nuclear weapons as utterly baseless and a deliberate effort to create a crisis. Iravani warned that any move to reinstate terminated Security Council resolutions against Iran would severely destabilize regional and global peace and security.

US-Israeli Gaza genocide

The Israeli killing machine continues to take more civilian lives in Gaza, as the regime’s military intensifies its attacks across the blockaded territory. In one of the brutal attacks, a woman and two children were killed and several others injured after Israeli warplanes bombed the al-Mawasi refugee camp near Khan Yunis, southern Gaza. Israeli jets also struck tents of displaced people in the same area, leaving several civilians dead and injured. The Tiberias camp, also near Khan Yunis, was the scene of another deadly attack, which resulted in several fatalities, including minors. In central Gaza, a combat drone conducted a strike in the Nuseirat refugee camp, killing three civilians and injuring several others. About two dozen civilians, including 8 women, were injured after a drone attacked an aid distribution point near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza. Medical sources say the US-Israeli genocide has killed over 55,100 Palestinians since October 2023, leaving nearly 127,400 others injured.
