Joe Biden 'actively preparing' to run against Hillary Clinton

US Vice President Joe Biden

US Vice President Joe Biden and possibly Secretary of State John Kerry would challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination next year, according to Rupert Murdoch.

Murdoch, the chairman of News Corporation, took to Twitter on Sunday to share his outlook about potential Democratic candidates, including Clinton, who is a former secretary of state, senator, and first lady.

“Guess what! Joe Biden actively preparing to run against Hillary. Maybe others like Kerry,” he tweeted.

Murdoch gave no further details on how he had come upon the knowledge.

A new poll by Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register released over the weekend found Biden coming in a distant third place to Clinton and Senator Elizabeth Warren from Massachusetts.

Biden received just nine percent support in the poll, while Clinton was the first choice of 56 percent of those surveyed.

Biden has left the possibility of seeking the Democratic nomination open. “Yes, there is a chance,” Biden said. “But I haven’t made my mind up about that. We’ve got a lot of work to do between now and then. There’s plenty of time.”

Clinton has not formally announced that she would run for the White House next year; however political observers have denounced her as a potential warmongering president.

Ron Paul, former Republican congressman and presidential candidate, has said that Clinton would be a pro-war, pro-military-industrial complex and pro-Federal Reserve president.
