A thorough Press TV investigation has firmly rejected an Al Jazeera report claiming that recent US strikes damaged Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant as field inspections and direct inquiries with Iranian officials found no evidence that the facility itself was hit.

The rebuttal follows Al Jazeera’s Friday publication, which analyzed satellite imagery and claimed to have identified apparent impact marks inside the Bushehr nuclear complex between July 7 and July 12.

In response, Press TV immediately launched an on-the-ground investigation and consulted relevant Iranian authorities to verify the claims. The findings are clear that no projectiles struck inside the Bushehr nuclear power plant during this period.

The investigation further noted that the satellite images released by Al Jazeera do not show any impact site within the plant as claimed in the report.

The US strikes landed outside the boundaries of the nuclear facility. The darkened area visible in the imagery corresponds only to a green space outside the operational sections of the complex, not to any administrative or sensitive part of the plant.

The Bushehr nuclear facility remains fully secure and undamaged.

The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant is Iran's only operating commercial nuclear power station.

Located on the Persian Gulf coast in Bushehr province, the facility is powered by a Russian-built VVER-1000 pressurized water reactor with a generating capacity of about 1,000 megawatts, supplying electricity to Iran's national grid.

The plant has become a focal point during the US-Israeli aggression on Iran because of concerns over the consequences of any strike on an operating civilian nuclear reactor.

Experts have warned that any serious attack on Bushehr could trigger radioactive contamination with consequences extending well beyond Iran's borders across the Persian Gulf.

Iranian officials have repeatedly maintained that while areas near the site have come under attack, the reactor itself has continued operating safely.

This comes as the United States has resumed its criminal aggression against Iran since last week by targeting civilian sites across southern Iranian provinces. On Thursday night, the terrorist US forces destroyed six bridges in Hormozgan Province. US President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to target Iran’s power plants and bridges.
