The line between protest and terrorism may not be clear for some; the protest was a peaceful movement that we witnessed in the first days of January. Economic problems were voiced, but the ensuing terrorism that occurred on January 8 and 9 tell a different story.

The scale and types of property destruction reported during the recent terrorism in Iran points to a targeted plan that was devised and financed beforehand.

All told, there were six types of destruction, including private property, government and public structures, the financial sector, vehicles, religious and educational sites, as well as national heritage and other infrastructure.

When it comes to private property, 704 properties were damaged or destroyed, including homes and businesses, of which 384 were reportedly set on fire. These types of actions also included vandalism.

It became evident that these acts of terrorism were not being committed by ordinary people.

There was immense damage caused to government and public structures and buildings with the total coming in at over 700 properties.

These included 314 government buildings that were attacked and damaged, with 155 government facilities burned to the ground, with 253 bus stops and other local infrastructure also damaged.

The financial sector was also subjected to a heavy blow from vandals, rioters and terrorists; over 1000 instances, which included banks, bank branches and chain store branches.

It should be noted that much looting was involved.

The terrorist elements were following a preconceived plan which included disrupting the flow of business transactions with the aim of turning the population against the government.

Vehicles, which included public transportation, the health sector, and, security personnel, also suffered a high tally in its path of destruction.

This included ambulances, busses and even security vehicles. There were even incidents of hospitals being attacked and patients being prevented from receiving medical care.

Religious and educational sites were also targets, with many set on fire, due to their significance for the Islamic Republic.

Over 350 mosques were damaged, with 134 set on fire.

Religious sites and seminaries were also burned, destroyed or damaged. Interestingly, one church was also damaged; even schools were not spared, with 250 damaged.

Gas stations were also affected with historical sites and even trees reportedly damage.

The estimated material damages are only a part of the cost of the sedition that was designed, by the monarchists and the hypocrites, to please the arrogant American president and the Israeli regime's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
