Israel's Syria aggression

Reactions are pouring in after Israeli forces carried out a deadly incursion into a Damascus suburb, killing at least 13 people, including children. Syria’s Foreign Ministry condemned the attack as a brutal massacre, saying Israeli forces resorted to indiscriminate shelling after failing to advance on the ground. The ministry held Israel fully responsible, warning that its continued attacks threaten regional stability. Hamas resistance movement and the Islamic jihad also condemned the strikes in separate statements, saying the incursion shows Israel poses a threat to the wider region. Qatar, meanwhile, denounced the attack as a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty and international law. Israeli forces raided the Syrian town of Beit Jinn before launching artillery and missile strikes, leaving multiple people dead, among them children. Tel Aviv’s own sources claim three Syrians were arrested during the operation.

Israel's 'war crimes' in the West Bank

The Israeli regime has launched new attacks on different areas of the Gaza Strip in violation of a ceasefire agreement with the Hamas resistance movement. An Israeli drone targeted a residential building near the city of Khan Younis, leaving three Palestinians injured. One person was killed in a separate attack on the Beni Suheila municipality in the same area. Israeli tank fire injured one child in the Rafah area, in the south of the besieged territory. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocidal war since 2023 now stands at around 70,000, with the majority of victims being women and children.

Hong Kong inferno

The death toll from a huge fire at a high-rise apartment complex in Hong Kong has reached 128, with officials warning that fatalities may rise further. According to Hong Kong’s Secretary for Security, hundreds of others remain unaccounted for. The fire broke out on Wednesday at a housing complex, home to nearly 4,600 residents. Authorities say fire alarms in all eight apartment blocks were not working effectively. They attribute the rapid spread of the fire to Styrofoam placed outside the windows of the apartment blocks.
