‘Stop Zionist Hate’ forced to halt social media campaign for exposing Zionists

By Press TV Website Staff

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, earlier this week, Stop Zionist Hate (SZH), a popular social media campaign that aims to fight Zionism and Zionist extremism, announced that it was “taking a break from exposing Zionists.”

“Sorry if I'm letting anyone down by stopping; I feel a duty to keep going, but this page has caused a lot of problems for me and I don't have the time or energy to continue,” wrote the page admin.

Reflecting on the work done in the past five months by SZH, since the Israeli regime launched its no-holds-barred genocidal aggression against Palestinians in Gaza, the campaign admin said it was a “good run.”

“In the past five months, we exposed extremists in medicine, academia, finance, law, and media. We were the first to identify many violent Zionists at protests and rallies using facial recognition,” the admin stated, referring to the suspension of Dr. Darren Klugman from Johns Hopkins Hospital and the firing of Brian Kaplan from Instacart as two successful anti-Zionist campaigns.

“I'm proud of the work we've done and of everyone who volunteered their time to this movement.”

The announcement created quite a stir on social media as it was one of the successful social media campaigns that caught the imagination of all and sundry in the aftermath of the events of October 7.

In a conversation with the Press TV website, SZH campaign managers said it was established in November 2023 “with the goal of exposing Zionist extremism and promoting a safer America.”

“There are an alarming number of Zionists in America who endorse genocide, ethnic cleansing, violence against civilians, and perpetual wars. It is essential to bring this to light to ensure that the American public is aware of the threat posed by Zionist extremism,” the managers stated.

“We identify and expose individuals who pose a danger to their communities and constitute a national security threat to the United States due to their postings and actions,” they added, noting that these people have “threatened to rape underaged children, murder US civilians, and target civilians with firebombs.”

The managers further said the SZH is an “American-based organization” that has received funding predominantly from small donors, without divulging more details.

The monthly donations, they announced in a statement posted on X, have now been canceled and the excess funds will be diverted to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society to “send medical and humanitarian aid to Gaza.”

“There are things going on behind the scenes. The fight hasn't stopped,” the managers told the Press TV website, suggesting that although the campaign has been halted, the mission remains intact.

Since November, when it was launched, the SZH campaign grew steadily as the Israeli genocidal war against Palestinians in the besieged coastal strip assumed frightening proportions.

The followers on its X page grew exponentially in November, December and January before the shadowban kicked in due to the intervention of the pro-Zionist lobby in the United States.

For example, its follower count on February 23 was 127,832, which slipped to 127,828 on February 24, 127,785 on February 25, 127,717 on February 26, 127,711 on February 27, 127,706 on February 28 and 127,660 on February 29, marking a consistent drop in the follower count.

“@elonmusk, how did we go from gaining nearly 10,000 followers per day in the first two weeks after we started, to being stuck at ~125,000 and now losing followers,” the admin posted on the page, saying followers had “informed us that they were suddenly removed from following our account, and others have mentioned that our posts no longer appear in their feeds.”

“Freedom of speech includes freedom of reach. Make the algorithm open source as you promised and end all shadowbanning.”

Since November, SZH successfully exposed many Zionist extremists on social media, digging out details about them and asking people to report them to their workplaces.

In one of the posts, the campaign exposed Tina Janan, a psychologist working at Wellnest, a health and wellness company, who commented on a post announcing the death of US airman Aaron Bushnell, who set himself ablaze to protest the Gaza genocide.

“Can they all do this please,” Janan commented, after which SZH urged netizens to contact human resources at Wellnest to “express concern” over her Zionist tendencies.

It also exposed Grier Newlin, a Columbia University alumni and DJ in New York, who in a comment stated that Gaza “never looked more beautiful”, endorsing the Zionist entity’s genocidal war there.

SZH in one of its posts on X addressed the Arizona representative, who held the Israeli regime flag in her profile picture on X, asking whether the American flag was “not good enough for you.”

In another post, the page exposed an American social media user Nathan Ryber, who justified the genocide of Palestinian children and women in Gaza in these words:

“We find ourselves in a cycle where these ‘children’ have repeatedly grown up to just become terrorists.”

“…It’s not genocide to kill your enemies before they kill you…”

“No, it's called pushing for total war with a populace that refuses to live in peace.”

SZH also exposed US Congressman Andy Ogles, who openly called for the genocide of Palestinians.

“I think we should kill them all,” the Congressman wrote in one of his social media posts.

It also introduced individuals as ‘Zionist Extremist of the Month’ or ‘Pro-Palestine Advocate of the Month’. For March, it was Laura Loomer, who made genocidal comments such as “Israel must level Gaza, flatten it into a parking lot, and then glass it” and “There is no such thing as Palestine.”

The ‘Pro-Palestine Advocate of the Month’ went to Bushnell, who in his final words asserted that he would “no longer be complicit in genocide” and then set himself ablaze in front of the Israeli embassy.

As the campaign grew in popularity, gaining more followers each day, many Zionist sympathizers accused it of being funded, among others, by Russia.

TrueWire, an affiliated newswire of SZH, was also deleted based on a false rumor that SZH is bankrolled by Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB).
