US-Israel Gaza genocide

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society warns that Israeli attacks on health facilities and staff in Gaza are posing a significant threat to the lives of those in need of medical care. The warning comes as Israeli forces persist on targeting Khan Yunis, a southern city in Gaza. Al-Amal Hospital is also under a complete siege, with Israeli armored vehicles blocking its entrances. The regime’s forces have declared a curfew around the hospital and terrorize the people taking shelter there to vacate the complex.

Hamas ceasefire stance

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has blamed the Israeli regime for a lack of progress in talks on the potential Gaza ceasefire. In a statement, the Hamas political bureau chief said the movement will not settle for anything less than a full cessation of Israeli aggression, the withdrawal of forces from Gaza and the lifting of the blockade on the territory. Ismail Haniyeh said Israel must also release Palestinians serving long sentences in any upcoming prisoner swap deal. Haniyeh made the remarks just days after US and Israeli spy chiefs as well as Qatari and Egyptian officials met in Cairo to discuss the framework of a Gaza ceasefire proposal.

Israel's anti-UNRWA campaign

Head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, Philippe Lazarini, says Israel is waging a concerted campaign aimed at dismantling UNRWA. Lazzarini said the regime believes that if the UN agency is abolished, the status of the Palestinian refugees will be resolved once and for all and with it, the right of return. He said this has been a long-term political goal of Tel Aviv. He cited various Israeli actions as evidence, including revoking UNRWA's VAT exemptions, restricting food deliveries through Ashdod port, and targeting over 150 UNRWA facilities since October 7.
