Fighters from the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance movement have conducted strikes against Israeli military positions, including barracks and gathering sites, in the northern sector of the 1948-occupied territories, in response to the ongoing Israeli genocidal campaign in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news network, citing a Hezbollah statement, reported that the group targeted the Israeli outpost of al-Assi, opposite the southern Lebanese village of Meiss Ej Jabal, at 11:20 a.m. local time (0920 GMT) on Saturday.

The statement added that the Lebanese resistance forces hit the designated target with appropriate weapons, causing casualties among Israeli troops.

Hezbollah also targeted Israeli soldiers at Birket Risha site.

Later on Saturday, Lebanese resistance fighters struck the Branit barracks and its garrison with a salvo of missiles, and destroyed targets there.

A gathering of Israeli soldiers in Hunin Castle also came under attack.

Hezbollah also targeted a gathering of Israeli troops in the Tallet al-Tayhat region, leaving a number of the soldiers injured.

The developments came a day after Hezbollah fighters conducted multiple operations against Israeli military sites.

Hezbollah announced that its first operation was conducted at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers close to the Hadab al-Bustan site. There were casualties among the forces.

Later in the afternoon, the resistance fighters successfully struck al-Malkiya military site, directly pounding the designated targets.

Hezbollah also carried out three simultaneous operations, hitting Hanita, al-Assi and Manara military outposts.  A number of Israeli soldiers were injured as a result.

The Israeli regime launched its devastating hostilities in the Gaza Strip on October 7 after the territory’s Hamas-led Palestinian resistance groups carried out a surprise retaliatory attack, dubbed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, against the occupying entity.

The Israeli military has also been carrying out attacks against the Lebanese territory since then, prompting retaliatory strikes from Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The movement has vowed to keep up its retaliatory operations as long as the Tel Aviv regime continues its onslaught on Gaza.

The Israeli campaign in Gaza has killed at least 23, 843 people, most of them women and children. Another 60,317 individuals have also been wounded.
