Female Iranians collect four medals at WTT Youth Contender Batumi 2023

Female Iranian table tennis players have displayed fine performances at the WTT (World Table Tennis) Youth Contender Batumi 2023, and been awarded four medals, including one precious gold one, at the international event.

Adrina Khayyam put an end to her campaign at U11 Girls Singles of the tournament at Batumi Sports Palace in Georgia’s Black Sea resort city of Batumi, and sank Armin Aydin, an opponent from Turkey, 3-2 (11-6, 7-11, 7-11, 11-4 and 12-10) in the final showdown.

Vania Yavari and Baran Arjmand could also snatch two silver medals in the last competitions of U15 Girls Singles and U17 Girls Singles respectively.

Moreover, Elina Rahimi grabbed a bronze medal in the U19 Girls Singles.

The WTT Youth Contender Batumi 2023 opened in Batumi, Georgia, on September 18, and will wrap up on September 24.

The contests attracted dozens of young table tennis players from several countries, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Georgia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
