US arms for Ukraine

The United States keeps pumping military aid into Ukraine. It has signed off an additional 270-million-dollar worth of weapons for the country to help it fight with Russia. The White House says President Joe Biden has made it clear that Washington will continue to support Ukraine and its people for as long as it takes. More than half of the latest aid comes from a 40-billion-dollar package Congress approved for Ukraine in May. The aid includes portable drones and four more Himars precision rocket systems, among others. That brings to 20 the number of Himars systems sent to Ukraine. Officials there, have called them a game-changer in countering Russia. Moscow has already warned against sending arms to Ukraine, accusing the west of fueling the flame of war.
