NBA: Philadelphia 76ers 125-119 Cleveland Cavaliers

Over the NBA, the Philadelphia 76ers have cemented their 2nd place in the Eastern conference standings after edging past the Cleveland Cavaliers 125-119 at home.

The Cavs started strong as they took the 1st quarter with a 13-point margin at 43-30. But the visitors took the next quarter by 5 points, as the hosts went to their locker room with a 71-63 advantage.

The 6ers then remained consistent after the break, taking a 6-point lead by beating the Cavs 34-28 in the 3rd quarter, before grabbing the final 28-20 to register their 6-point overall win and the 5th victory in a row.

Tyrese Maxey and James Harden collected nearly half of the points for Philadelphia as they pocketed 33 and 25 points respectively.

Also, The Milwaukee Bucks temporarily leapfrogged into the 3rd in the Eastern Conference after stunning the Bulls 118 to 112 at the United Center in Chicago.

The opening quarter finished at 25-apiece before the Bucks took the next quarter 32-28 which led to their 57-53 advantage at the intermission. However, the hosts regrouped after the break, opening up a 7-point margin by winning the 3rd quarter 35-24.

But the defending champions came from behind, taking the final 37-24 to register their 6-point win at the end. Giannis Antetokounmpo tallied 34 points for Milwaukee, whereas Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan combined 59 points for Chicago in the losing effort.
