Senegal political crisis

Senegal’s President MackySall has been experiencing the most serious crisis since coming to power. This West African was recently rocked by deadly street protests following the arrest of populist opposition leader OusmanneSonko.

He says charges of rape against him are politically motivated. President Sall addressed the nation and appealed for calm after violent demonstrations left several people dead This edition of Africa Today is focusing on the recent unrest in Senegal which, unfortunately, resulted in loss of life and material damage.
