‘US UNRWA funding cut declaration of war on Palestinians’

The United States’ decision to cut the funding of a United Nations aid program for Palestinian refugees is “a declaration of war” on Palestinians, says an analyst.

“This is the continuation of the kind of war that [US] President [Donald] Trump has declared on the Palestinian people. This is one more blow to the Palestinian people and of course it is nothing that will make the so-called peace process alive again,” Dror Feiler, chairman of European Jews for a Just Peace told Press TV in an interview on Sunday.

The US announced on Friday that it has “carefully reviewed” the aid program and “will no longer commit further funding to this irredeemably flawed operation.”

The decision made by the administration of President Donald Trump cuts some $300 million of planned support to the 70-year-old United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
