Head of the Iranian Judiciary’s West Azerbaijan office says 480 individuals suspected of links to hostile actors were arrested during the US-Israeli aggression in the province, of whom 10 were identified as agents of Israel’s Mossad spy agency.

Speaking at a press conference on Saturday ahead of Iran’s Judiciary Week, West Azerbaijan Chief Justice Nasser Atabati provided details of judicial and security measures carried out in the province during the aggression.

Atabati stated that judicial rulings had been issued for the 10 individuals identified as Mossad spies.

“During the war, the activities of West Azerbaijan’s Judiciary did not stop even for a minute, and all judicial services continued without interruption,” Atabati said.

The Judiciary official also referred to the unrest that occurred across Iran in January, describing West Azerbaijan as one of the country’s most stable provinces during that period.

According to Atabati, no cases involving damage to public property were reported in the province at the time.

He added that a number of individuals linked to hostile actors were identified and dealt with during that period as well, and that such efforts remain ongoing.

“Simultaneously with this year’s Ramadan War, three Mossad spies were executed after completing the legal process, and the news was officially announced,” he added.

On February 28, the US and the Israeli regime began their latest round of unprovoked aggression against Iran.

During the American-Israeli aggression, which continued until April 7, the Iranian Armed Forces carried out retaliatory operations against the aggressors’ interests.

Following the announcement of a ceasefire on April 8, negotiations to permanently end the war began with Pakistan’s mediation.

Last Sunday, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ending the war had been finalized between Iran and the US.
