Violence, persecution lead to record numbers of refugees in Uganda

Uganda has joined the rest of the world to mark World refugee day. The East African country is now home to more than half a million refugees, making it the 8th largest host country for refugees in the world. With an increase in numbers of asylum seekers arriving in Uganda, the country is appealing for more international assistance.
