Fragile ceasefire in Syria

These are some of the headlines we are tracking for you in this episode of On the News Line:

SYRIA CEASEFIRE

The first day of the ceasefire going into effect Saturday had some good terms, such as the Syrian terrorist list from the UN producing 163 names. Everyone involved in the diplomatic process agrees with the United Nations' designation that ISIL and Jabhat al-Nusra, a group linked to al-Qaeda, are terrorists and therefore barred from the negotiating table.

US PRESIDENTIAL RACE

Transcending the Presidential Debate. Trump fresh off his win from Nevada. But his win garnered just over 35 thousand votes. Meanwhile, Clinton is an interventionist, yet Senator Bernie Sanders is seen as more trustworthy.

EU ARMS EMBARGO ON SAUDI ARABIA

Finally, a concrete step in trying to prevent the killing of innocent civilians: the EU has votes to place an arms sales embargo on Saudi Arabia. It has named the UK and France as countries selling arms which are being used to killing civilians.
