IRGC retaliatory strikes
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has carried out retaliatory strikes after the US launched acts of aggression on southern Iran. The IRGC said in a statement that 85 US military positions in the region were targeted. The statement said the operations were conducted jointly by the IRGC Navy and aerospace forces, adding that among the targeted positions is the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. An American MQ9 drone has also been shot down by the IRGC forces. According to the statement, the U-S terrorist army launched airstrikes on coastal bases and civilian stations in Hormuzgan and Mahshahr in violation of the ceasefire and recent memorandum of understanding between Tehran and Washington. Earlier, Iran’s Khatam-al-Anbyia Central Headquarters said Iranian forces will not allow terrorist US forces to interfere in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz and its management under any circumstances.
