Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, has delivered a firm response to US President Donald Trump’s latest threats against the Iranian nation, stressing that Tehran will not tolerate disrespectful language and will reply accordingly if necessary.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump said Monday that the US will win the Iran war "one way or the other."
"We're either going to make a deal, or we're going to finish the job. It won't be tough to finish the job," Trump declared.
In a statement issued on Monday, Zolghadr directly addressed the US president, describing him as “delusional” for threatening Iran’s 91 million people.
“To the delusional President of America, who today threatened 91 million Iranians, I say: Previously, as the president of a rootless country with a mere 250-year history, you spoke in similar terms about erasing Iran’s several-thousand-year-old civilization. The only result for you was defeat, helplessness, and desperate pleas for negotiations and ceasefire,” Zolghadr said.
He emphasized that Iranians are unfamiliar with and unmoved by the language of threats from foreigners.
“Iranians are not familiar with the language of threats. Therefore, speak to the Iranian people with respect; otherwise, we will respond to you in a different language,” the senior official warned.

Iranian officials have consistently underlined that the Islamic Republic and its proud people will never bow to bullying or disrespectful rhetoric from the United States.
The SNSC chief’s statement reflects Iran’s longstanding position of strength, dignity, and confidence rooted in its ancient civilization and the unbreakable will of its nation.
Tehran has repeatedly made clear that any aggression or arrogant posturing will be met with a firm, calculated, and appropriate response.
Iran remains committed to defending its sovereignty, security, and national interests while upholding its principled stance against foreign interference and threats.
