Iran on Friday condemned American-Israeli "nuclear terrorism" and called on the international community to adopt a "zero-tolerance policy" towards attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities.
In another development, Iranian armed forces said several US warships withdrew from the Sea of Oman after its forces fired warning shots using cruise missiles and advanced drones.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran will decisively defend itself against any act of aggression in the future.
Officials also outlined conditions related to frozen assets and future understandings with Washington in order to achieve the definitive end to the imposed war.
Key developments on day 98 of the war, the 58th day of the ceasefire:
- Slamming US-Israeli acts of nuclear terrorism, Iran said the international community must adopt a "zero-tolerance policy" towards any armed attack on peaceful nuclear installations and promote binding international norms on the inviolability of such facilities.
- US President Donald Trump said he would be “honoured” to meet Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, newly elected Leader of the Islamic Revolution, if a deal is reached to end the third imposed war.
- Iran’s army said several US warships operating in the Sea of Oman were forced to withdraw from the area after Iranian naval forces fired warning shots using cruise missiles and advanced drones.
- Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi delivered a firm and clear message to the enemies, saying Tehran does not seek war, but will decisively defend itself if aggression is imposed upon it.
- Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi said that at least 50 percent of its frozen financial assets must be released immediately upon signing any memorandum of understanding with the United States.
- Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei blasted the United States and the Israeli regime for murdering innocent children in different countries through war crimes and occupation.
- Israeli regime secretly deployed elite military and intelligence personnel to Azerbaijan during the US-Israeli war against Iran, using positions near the Iranian border to support operations against the country, a CNN report stated.
- A Reuters investigation exposed the role of SpaceX’s Starlink satellite network in the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran. The report said the technology marketed as civilian infrastructure became an integral component of lethal strikes on the Islamic Republic.
- Mohsen Rezaei, advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and also a member of the Expediency Council, warned that Washington will either receive a "hard slap" or be forced to accept Tehran's terms, noting that the US has been systematically sabotaging diplomacy and violating ceasefire commitments.
- The United Nations food relief organisation warned that the US-Israeli war on Iran is pushing millions of people in the West Asian region into hunger.
- Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri denounced the US-mediated ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel as a one-sided, biased deal that seeks to impose asymmetric obligations solely on the Hezbollah resistance movement.
- Hezbollah resistance fighters unleashed a coordinated wave of attacks on Thursday, striking multiple Israeli military positions and inflicting significant losses on invading Zionist troops.
- Nearly seven in ten Americans are urging Washington to end its illegal war on Iran “as quickly as possible,” a fresh poll by the Economist/YouGov has shown. The survey found that 68 percent of respondents believe the United States “should make a deal to end the war in Iran as quickly as possible,” while only 11 percent opposed the move. Twenty-one percent were unsure.
