Iran has blasted the United States and the Israeli regime for murdering innocent children in different countries through war crimes and occupation.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei made the remarks in an X post on Thursday, marking the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

He said the occasion honors the memory of children who were destined to dream, study, and build their future, but became victims of war crimes, occupation and bombardment before they could even come to know life.

“From Gaza and the West Bank to Beirut, Minab, Lamerd, Tehran, and many other places across Iran and the world, wherever children have perished under the bombs and missiles of the United States and the Israeli regime, the truth is the same: no military objective, no political interest, and no security pretext can ever justify the slaughter of children,” he added, referring to deadly US-Israeli strikes on a primary school in Minab and a sports hall in Lamerd on February 28, 2026.

“Children are neither parties to war nor tools of it. They are the living conscience of humanity. Every child killed or maimed is a burial of a part of our shared humanity.”

He also attached to his post the picture of Mahya Sedighi Saber, who was martyred in the city of Astaneh-ye Ashrafiyeh last year during the first US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran.

The US and the Israeli regime waged their first illegal military assault against Iran, which lasted 12 days, in June 2025. Their second invasion began in late February and came to a halt in early April as part of a Pakistani-brokered ceasefire.

In both cases, Iran's mighty resistance and successful retaliatory operations forced the enemy to accept a truce.
