Commander of IRGC Quds force praises resistance forces for delivering ‘regret-inducing’ response to enemies

Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani, commander of the IRGC Quds Force

The commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has extended his appreciation to resistance fighters for delivering a "regret-inducing" response to the "enemies of mankind."

Brigadier General Esmail Qa’ani made the remarks in a message issued on Thursday, one day after a ceasefire was announced 40 days after war waged by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Iranian nation.

“God bless you the brave fighters of the Resistance Front, who with your accurate understanding of events, took a decisive, courageous and heroic decision and inflicted regret-inducing lessons on the enemies of mankind while exercising full vigilance and standing watchful and ready,” he wrote.

“I thank your unique and exemplary endeavors.”

The criminal US-Israeli aggression on Iran began on February 28 with airstrikes that assassinated senior Iranian officials and commanders.

The Iranian armed forces responded by launching almost daily missile and drone operations targeting locations in the Israeli‑occupied territories as well as US military bases and assets across the region.

Resistance movements in Lebanon and Yemen also conducted strikes against the enemies in solidarity with Iran.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) announced on Wednesday that there was an agreement to a Pakistan-brokered temporary ceasefire after the US accepted Iran’s 10-point proposal, which also included a cessation of hostilities in Lebanon.

However, Israel violated the US-Iran truce deal and waged its largest military attack against Lebanon in recent weeks, killing at least 254 people and wounding 1,165 others on Wednesday.

‘Harsh punishment awaits enemy’

In a separate message on Thursday, Qa’ani said that with its brutal attack on Lebanon, "criminal and child-killer" Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to prove that he is “more ferocious and merciless than the US -- his humiliated boss.”

He added that the history of the Zionist regime is replete with crimes against humanity and the killing of innocent people and women and children.

“The enemy should know that a harsh and regret-inducing punishment is awaiting it,” the IRGC commander warned.
