Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian warns that any attack launched from US military bases stationed in the region against the Islamic Republic are not be acceptable under any circumstances.
In a phone conversation with Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said on Wednesday, Pezeshkian said Iran respects and attaches paramount importance to its neighbors and all the countries in the West Asia region.
He hailed Oman’s positive stance and constructive role in regional negotiations aimed at advancing diplomacy and defusing tensions amid the ongoing US-Israeli unlawful military aggression against Iran, which started on February 28.
Pezeshkian said that the United States and the Israeli regime launched their “savage” aggression in the midst of Tehran’s talks with Washington over its peaceful nuclear program with Oman’s active and effective role.
The attacks were launched as Iran and the US had held three rounds of indirect negotiations in the Omani capital of Muscat and the Swiss city of Geneva and planned to open technical talks in Vienna, Austria.
The president said the killing of 168 Iranian schoolchildren in the city of Minab at the start of the brutal war once again proved that the “US government and the child-killing Zionist regime do not adhere to any humanitarian and international principles” and know no approach but the “war and violence.”

He emphasized that Iran will carry out a thorough and comprehensive investigation into a drone attack on an oil storage facility in Oman’s Port of Salalah, adding that Iranian military only targets locations directly involved in strikes against the country.
He reiterated that Iran is determined to improve relations with its neighbors, particularly Oman.
Oman’s Sultan, for his part, said Muscat will continue pursuing a positive approach toward Iran.
He said the Israeli regime is making attempts to pit Muslim countries against each other and stressed the need to strengthen regional cooperation to foster peace and stability.
He also highlighted the importance of preventing the spread of the ongoing war.
