Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has left Tehran for Geneva to take part in the third round of indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States on Thursday. Before departing for the Oman-mediated talks, Araghchi stressed that Iran will resume discussions in Geneva based on understandings reached in the previous round. Trump heckled during state of union

Lawmakers Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib slammed Trump for killing US citizens, a reference to two Americans killed by ICE agents in the state of Minnesota. Another Congressman Al Green was escorted out after he held up a sign, saying “Black people are not apes.” That was in reference to a video shared by Trump that depicted former president Barack Obama and his wife as apes. Democrats also brought survivors of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as State of the Union guests. Meanwhile, Multiple Democrats did not show up to the speech altogether, and held counter events instead.

Iraq resistance US warning

Iraqi resistance groups have issued a stark warning to the United States, accusing Washington of breaking its commitments and violating the Arab country’s sovereignty. Resistance groups said the US has failed to withdraw its forces, interfered in Baghdad’s internal affairs, and even hand-picked candidates for key government posts. They also condemned repeated US violations of Iraqi airspace, calling them a threat to the national security and an affront to state sovereignty. The resistance groups vowed to maintain their right to end the US occupation in Iraq.
