UNMHA exit: A legacy of failure in Hudaydah as violations persist

The UN Security Council has officially voted to terminate the mandate of its monitoring mission in Yemen’s Hudaydah.

After seven years of oversight, the move marks a final acknowledgment of the mission’s inability to curb mounting violations and protect the strategic western coast from ongoing military escalation.
