Iran’s ambassador to Beirut has condemned an intense media campaign targeting Tehran and Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, dismissing them as crude falsehoods based on unfounded accusations that do not deceive anyone.
"They falsely claim that Iran has suffered serious damage, but they are merely voicing their own illusions, lies and wishful thinking,” Mojtaba Amani said in a post on X in Arabic and Persian.
With the 47th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaching in 40 days, Amani highlighted Tehran’s endurance. “An establishment that some leaders of the domineering powers wished to see fall, but they did not achieve their goals and died in their rage,” he said.
He reiterated Iran’s long-term resilience: “The Islamic Republic of Iran is a strong and resilient nation, with an aware populace and wise, capable leadership."
"The experience of the past five decades has proven that our country is not affected by these plots, media hype, and propaganda, and continues on its blessed path without the slightest fear or retreat,” he added.
His remarks echo recent statements by Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who warned of a broad media and propaganda war against Iran following failed military aggression.
Speaking on December 11, 2025, the Leader said Iran is now confronting an organized media front aimed at undermining the goals and identity of the Islamic Revolution.
Despite challenges and shortages, Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that Iran is “moving, striving, and advancing” through national resistance, perseverance, and faith.
“The enemy has realized that this property, land, and spiritual homeland cannot be subdued and occupied through military pressure,” he said, referring to the 12-day US-Israeli aggression on Iran, which was halted by Tehran’s strong military response on June 24.
Highlighting Iranian resilience, Ayatollah Khamenei noted that “The people of Iran, through national resistance, have thwarted ongoing efforts by the enemy to change the religious, historical, and cultural identity of the nation.”
He emphasized that proper defensive and offensive arrangements are needed to counter propaganda.
