French MP demands inquiry into arms sales to Israel

French Communist Party MP Elsa Faucillon, backed by lawmakers from across the left, has submitted a resolution calling for a parliamentary commission of inquiry into French arms transfers to Israel.
She denounced what she described as crimes and genocide in Gaza and argues that France cannot claim to defend international law while allowing arms or military components to be delivered, authorized, or transported to Israel.
