Cambodians flee border towns as Thai-Cambodia clash enters third day

Families fleeing fighting on Cambodia's border with Thailand have sought refuge in makeshift camps near the conflict zone.

In the temporary camp, evacuees have adapted to meet immediate needs, lighting fires in the early chill, cooking under tarps, and fetching water from nearby lakes.

Thailand and Cambodia have each blamed the other for the clashes that started on Monday (December 8), and remain at odds on a diplomatic solution to the border tensions that have been simmering for months.

Both countries have said they have evacuated hundreds of thousands of people from border areas.
