The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has firmly rejected the US State Department’s claim that it plans to violate the ceasefire, calling the allegation a product of Israel’s misleading propaganda.
In a statement on Sunday, Hamas declared that it rejects the allegations issued by the US State Department and categorically denies the claims directed against the group regarding an "imminent attack" or a "violation of the ceasefire agreement."
The resistance movement emphasized that these false claims “fully align with misleading Israeli propaganda and provide cover for the continuation of the occupation's organized crimes and aggression against our people.”
The US Department of State issued a statement on Saturday claiming that it “has informed the guarantor nations of the Gaza peace agreement of credible reports indicating an imminent ceasefire violation by Hamas against the people of Gaza,” and that “this planned attack against Palestinian civilians would constitute a direct and grave violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
Hamas said the reality on the ground tells a different story, emphasizing that it is the Israeli occupying authorities who have established, equipped, and financed criminal groups responsible for killings, abductions, the theft of humanitarian aid vehicles, and robberies targeting Palestinians.
The movement further noted that the Israeli regime has publicly acknowledged these crimes through media reports and video evidence, underscoring the occupation’s role in fomenting chaos and undermining Gaza’s security.
The police force in Gaza, supported by widespread community and popular backing, is fulfilling its national responsibility to combat these gangs and hold them accountable through legal procedures, aiming to protect citizens and safeguard both public and private property, Hamas added.
“The movement calls on the US administration to cease repeating the misleading narrative of the occupation and to instead focus on curbing its repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, foremost among them its support for these gangs and providing them safe havens within areas under its control,” Hamas stated.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Government Media Office reported on Saturday that it had documented 47 Israeli violations of the ceasefire, resulting in 38 Palestinian deaths and 143 injuries since the agreement took effect.
It described Israel’s actions as “flagrant and clear violations of the ceasefire decision and the rules of international humanitarian law.”
According to the office, Israeli forces in Gaza directly targeted and bombed civilians, reflecting the regime’s “continued aggressive approach despite the declaration of a ceasefire.”
Hamas also criticized Israel for failing to comply with the ceasefire by obstructing efforts to reopen the Rafah border crossing between Gaza and Egypt, a step essential for increasing humanitarian aid and allowing Palestinians to travel abroad.
In recent videos verified by Sky News Israeli forces are seen supplying weapons, fuel, water, and food to anti-Hamas terrorist militias in Gaza.
The investigation documented convoys moving from Israeli-controlled territory near the Erez crossing to militia-held areas, including the headquarters of so-called “People’s Army,” led by Ashraf al-Mansi.
Neither Israel nor the militias responded to Sky News’ requests for comment.
The evidence indicates that Israel continues to aid terrorist militias opposing Hamas while the resistance group works to restore order, highlighting the occupying regime’s persistent role in destabilizing Gaza.
