One of the main spies working for the Israeli regime’s spy agency, Mossad, was executed, Iran’s Judiciary confirmed.
Bahman Choubi-Asl was executed on Monday after “extensive and conscious cooperation with the Israeli spy service in the database field,” following due legal process by the Supreme Court.
He was a database expert who entered the country’s sensitive telecommunications projects through his presence in a knowledge-based company.
Due to his expertise, he was present as a manager in all of the company’s projects and had extensive access to the country’s vital and sovereign databases.
According to judicial reports, Mossad agents first identified Choubi-Asl while he was attending a specialist course in a Persian Gulf country. A Mossad officer, operating under the guise of a front company named “ESMI,” subsequently made contact.
The defendant was initially instructed to travel to Armenia, though the destination was later changed to India with orders to bring his work laptop.
During this trip, Mossad operatives—posing as executives of a front company—covered all travel expenses, provided a monetary bonus, and enrolled him in technical training classes to enhance his professional skills.
This was followed by an intensive 45-day specialized training program in Ireland, where a Persian-speaking handler debriefed him on sensitive Iranian infrastructure and database projects.
Mossad’s main goal in enlisting the defendant’s cooperation was to obtain the database of government institutions and create a breach in Iran’s data centers, along with other secondary goals, including investigating the route of importing electronic equipment.
The defendant stated that the Mossad officer announced that he had the possibility of selling equipment to Iran and asked me to speak to the CEO so that they could provide the hardware needed by the company or to connect him with a company that operates in the hardware field.
A key Mossad tactic is to infiltrate technical sectors by providing contaminated hardware through intermediaries, thereby sabotaging critical infrastructure—a method employed in past attacks against Iran’s nuclear program.
The court found the convict’s cooperation with Mossad was deliberate, based on 63 meetings across 9 foreign trips and the receipt of spy tools and money.
The UAE, Armenia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Ireland, and Bulgaria were among the countries where Choubi-Asl met in person with Mossad officers.
After the arrest, he was charged with espionage for the benefit of a foreign service against Iran, including receiving payment and cooperating with Israel’s spy agency.
According to reports, more than 700 spies affiliated with Mossad were arrested across Iran amid the Israeli aggression against the country in June.
Iran’s security agencies also dismantled numerous underground drone facilities in Tehran and other cities operated by Mossad agents in recent months.
