Genocide, starvation in Gaza
The US-Israeli genocide in Gaza continues unabated. Dozens of Palestinians have been killed in fresh attacks on the besieged strip since dawn. Fourteen people lost their lives after a house was targeted north of Gaza City. Several other areas of Gaza City also witnessed fresh Israeli attacks. In the Southern Gaza Strip, one person was killed and several others were injured when Israeli forces opened fire on aid seekers near Rafah. In Khan Yunis, three Palestinians lost their lives in an Israeli bombing on the northern part of the city. The death toll from the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza since October 2023 has surpassed 64,600. More than 163,500 others have been injured as well.
Yemenis support Gaza
Yemenis have once again held a mass rally in the northern city of Sa’ada to reaffirm their solidarity with Palestinians and condemn the repeated Israeli attacks against their country. The demonstrators carried Yemeni and Palestinian flags, and chanted slogans in condemnation of the Israeli crimes in Gaza as well as the aggression against Yemen. They also expressed support for the Yemeni armed forces for their anti-Israel operations. Yemenis have been holding pro-Palestine rallies almost every Friday since the beginning of the genocide in Gaza in October 2023.
Israeli crimes in West Asia
The Iranian envoy urged the UN to adopt a binding resolution to hold the Israeli regime fully accountable for its violation of Qatari sovereignty. He said Tehran supports Qatar’s right to legitimate defense based on international law and the UN charter. He underlined that Doha reserves the right to take political, diplomatic and legal measures to protect Qatari citizens, sovereignty and territorial integrity. The emergency meeting of the Security Council came less than a week after the Israeli regime launched an organized assassination attack against Hamas officials in the Qatari capital Doha. The attack left six fatalities but failed to kill the senior officials of the Palestinian resistance movement.
