Iran calls for Islamic unity
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called for unity among all Muslim countries, saying the US and Israel would not have been able to violate Muslims’ rights if Islamic nations acted in unity. In an address to the 39th Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, the president said Iran has never sought division among Muslims. Pezeshkian added that it is the enemy that sets Islamic countries against each other, to sell them arms and steal their natural resources. The president further stressed that the annual conference in Tehran aims to break, in his words, the wall of schism among Muslims. He called for solidarity of all Muslim countries to end such crimes as the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
