Iran slams E3

Iran has firmly stated that Europe lacks the legal and moral authority to level accusations against Tehran regarding the 2015 nuclear deal. Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei strongly criticized the United Kingdom, France, and Germany for alleging that Iran has violated the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the JCPOA. Baghaei said Iran, China, and Russia contend that the three European countries lack the legal authority to invoke the so-called snapback and reactivate sanctions against Tehran. He asserted that Iran’s measures constitute lawful responses to the United States’ unilateral withdrawal from the agreement in 2018, as well as the European trio’s failure to uphold their commitments. Baghaei added that the recent negotiations revealed a lack of goodwill, as European diplomats ceded sovereign decision-making to the US. Iran maintains that its nuclear activities remain within the framework of the 2015 nuclear deal and blames Western pressure tactics for erosion of diplomatic spirit.

US-Israel Gaza genocide

The Israeli military continues with its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, killing more women and children. Since dawn, dozens of Palestinians have been killed in airstrikes predominantly targeting areas in and around Gaza City. In Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, a series of attacks on residential buildings claimed sixteen lives and injured several others. To the north, four Palestinians were killed and several wounded when an Israeli drone struck a group of civilians in Jabalia al-Nazla. Nine others lost their lives while waiting in line for aid near the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza. Meanwhile, the Gaza Health Ministry reports that 13 people, including children, have died from famine and malnutrition. The latest casualties bring the death toll from the Israeli genocide since October 2023 to nearly 63,560. Over 160,660 others have also been injured.

US anti-Trump protests

Protests have erupted across cities in the US on the occasion of the Labor Day, as demonstrators from coast to coast rallied against President Donald Trump’s policies. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco saw waves of protest, with demonstrators taking to the streets to demand a living wage. Outside Trump Tower in New York, chants of “Trump must go now” rang out as union leaders and workers called for stronger labor protections. In Chicago, protesters gathered outside another Trump Tower, voicing similar demands. They also blasted a potential immigration crackdown threatened by the Trump administration in Chicago. Massive crowds also marched in Washington DC joining a nationwide call for economic justice.
