US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

The Israeli regime has launched new artillery and airstrikes on Gaza as it presses ahead with its genocidal war. At least six people were killed and several others injured after Israeli soldiers opened fire on aid seekers north of the city of Rafah. An aid worker was also killed in an airstrike in central Gaza. In the north, Israeli forces are pressing ahead with their plan to occupy Gaza City. They set fire to several houses in Gaza City. At least sixteen Palestinians have been killed in regime attacks across the territory since dawn on Thursday. The health ministry also reported four new deaths from famine and malnutrition, including two children. The death toll in Gaza since October 2023 is now at nearly 62, 900, with more than 158, 920 others injured.

Gaza famine

Aid agencies have warned that famine in Gaza is now a reality with children increasingly dying of hunger. On Friday, the UN said nearly half a million Gazans face catastrophic level of food insecurity. That’s while Israel denies that hunger exists in the besieged territory. The director of UNRWA affairs in Gaza says the regime is using starvation as a weapon. 

Russia-Ukraine war

Russia has launched a massive attack on Kiev, hitting the Ukrainian capital with strikes that killed at least 14 people. According to local authorities, 48 more people were also injured, with numbers expected to rise as rescue workers continue to search for survivors in the rubble. Ukraine's air force reports that Russia fired 629 drones and missiles overnight, marking the second largest attack of the war. At least 20 locations across seven districts of Kiev were hit, damaging nearly 100 buildings. Russia has recently increased its attacks on Ukraine as its forces continue to advance on the ground.
