David Miller, a former sociology professor at the University of Bristol, is facing legal proceedings after complaints from an Israeli lobbying group about his social media posts.
A long time critic of Zionism as a racist ideology, he says this is yet another witch hunt.
I'm being taken to court by the campaign against anti-semitism, which is effectively an asset of the Zionist regime in occupied Palestine, and they're taking me to court for sending 3 menacing tweets, menacing as used in the Communications Act 2003.
They think that they can have me prosecuted and convicted, on charges hich would attract a maximum six months sentence.
Now, this is a show. It's theater. They are taking a private prosecution, and they are an organization which doesn't even admit to the names of its directors or its trustees in public.
So this is a clandestine, Kafkaesque, process to try and silence me. But of course, it's not going to work.

Miller was sacked from his job at the University of Bristol nearly four years ago over claims his lectures on Islamophobia created a hostile environment for Jewish students.
His supporters in the fight against Zionism, and he himself, argue his dismissal was driven by pressure from pro Israel lobby groups.
It was said by the university that this was not appropriate, because I had brought students into conflict. ... of course, what had happened was they had brought me into conflict.
The court, when I took them to a tribunal, rejected that. They said I wasn't sacked for bringing students into conflict. I was sacked because I had anti Zionist views which the university didn't believe were appropriate.
And furthermore, the court said that such views were worthy of respect in a democratic society, meaning that they are not racist, which of course, drives the coast to horses all the way through the talking points in the Zionist regime, which always insists that anti-semitism and anti-Zionism are the same thing.
They're not; as everybody knows.

For now, the legal proceedings continue, and with them the debate over truth, power, and, the cost of standing up to Zionism.
The issues at stake stretch far beyond the legal chambers, they touch upon the global struggle over who can speak up against Zionism, what can be questioned, and whether anyone can challenge Israel's powerful political lobbies without fear of retribution.
