Bloody Nakba Day
Thursday has been another bloody day for Palestinians in Gaza as the Israeli military presses ahead with its unrelenting attacks across the blockaded territory. At least 1-hundred 14 people have been killed since early morning. The airstrikes and shelling targeted several areas across the besieged territory including the cities of Beit Lahia, Khan Younis and Jabalia. The latest fatalities include Palestinian journalist Hassan Samour and his family. This brings to 216 the number of journalists killed in Gaza since October 2023. Nearly 53,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children have also been killed in the same period.
US support for Israel
The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement says the US deceives Arab nations into believing they would collapse without American protection.In his weekly address, Sayyid Abdul Malik al-houthi stated that the israeli regime benefits from the U-S’s financial and political gains from Arab regimes. He says the Americans make profit from Arab nations and provide military and monetary support to the Israeli regime. The Yemeni leader added that the US aims to force Arab states into normalizing ties with the israeli regime. Houthi added that it is shameful that there is no widespread boycotting of companies supporting the Israeli regime within muslim nations, while this is being done in American universities.
Trump UAE visit
US President Donald Trump is visiting Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on the final leg of his West Asia tour. Trump is expected to hold talks with UAE leaders on military cooperation and investment. His visit follows a stop in Qatar where he toured the US airbase at Al-Udeid and signed multi-billion dollar military and trade deals. The tour began in Saudi Arabia where Trump met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and secured major investment agreements.
