Genocide in Gaza

The Israeli military is pressing ahead with its attacks on Gaza, leaving more Palestinian civilians dead and injured in the latest round of strikes. In one of the recent attacks, several Palestinians were killed following the bombing of a home in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing multiple Palestinians and injuring several others. A number of Palestinians were also killed after Israeli artillery shelled multiple areas across Gaza. Israel began its genocidal campaign against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip in October 2023. Since then, 52,400 people have been killed and over 118,000 injured. Majority of the victims have been women and children.

Ukraine-Russia war

Russian drones have unleashed fresh strikes on Ukraine, as the conflict between the two countries intensifies. In Ukraine, Kharkiv and Dnipro faced Russian attacks. Kharkiv endured 16 strikes, leaving 46 injured, including children and a pregnant woman. Civilian infrastructure was heavily damaged. In Dnipro, fires caused by drones claimed the life of a 53-year-old man and injured another. Meanwhile, Russia reported intercepting 34 Ukrainian drones overnight across five regions, including Kursk and Bryansk. In the Vladimir Region, debris from downed drones sparked a warehouse fire, damaging two buildings but causing no injuries. The exchanges of fire come as the US has once again warned that it would quit its mediation efforts if the two sides fail to put forward “concrete proposals.”

Pakistan-India tensions

Tensions continue to simmer between India and Pakistan following a deadly attack in Indian-administered Kashmir. Now, Pakistan says India is planning to carry out an imminent military strike over what it called baseless allegations of Islamabad’s involvement in the attack. Pakistan's information minister vowed any possible Indian strike will be met with a decisive response. Pakistan’s statement comes after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday gave his army "complete operational freedom" to respond to the Kashmir attack. On April 22nd, a deadly terrorist attack occurred in India's Pahalgam town, claiming the lives of 26 tourists. Since then, Both countries have traded gunfire across the de facto Kashmir border, as well as exchanged diplomatic and trade sanctions.
