Israel West Bank demolitions

Israeli Occupation forces press ahead with their aggression against Palestinian towns and refugee camps across the occupied West Bank, injuring civilians and demolishing infrastructure. In Tul Karm, large bulldozers commenced the demolition of 25 residential buildings, which housed approximately 100 homes, thereby displacing hundreds of refugees residing in the Nur Shams refugee camp. The Israeli High Court sanctioned these demolitions, despite recognizing that the structures were civilian. In al-Khalil, a child and a young man sustained gunshot wounds inflicted by the IOF during a raid. Meanwhile, a widespread campaign of arrests swept the territory overnight. From Ariha to Nablus to Qalqilya, the IOF detained multiple Palestinians, including released prisoners, while raiding and ransacking homes.

Israel bans aid organizations

Reactions are coming in after the Israeli regime announced that it will ban over three dozen aid groups from operating in Gaza. The Palestinian Foreign Ministry condemned the decision as a violation of international law. The ministry said Israel seeks to silence witnesses to its crimes and block institutions that support the Palestinian people. Among the suspended groups is Doctors Without Borders, one of Gaza’s largest healthcare providers. The organization warned that halting its work at a time when the territory’s health system is nearly destroyed would trigger a humanitarian catastrophe. Tel Aviv claims that the targeted organizations have failed to meet the new rules set for aid organizations, including sharing information on their staff, funding and operations. The ban will start on New Year’s Day. Meanwhile, ten countries, including eight European nations, have voiced deep concern over the worsening crisis in Gaza, urging Israel to take immediate steps to address the catastrophic conditions.

New Year: 2026

Countries begin to welcome the New Year, with island nations in the South Pacific among the first to greet 2026. Sydney has become the first major city in the World to usher in 2026 with iconic New Year’s fireworks. Thousands of people gathered around the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House for the world-famous display. The crowd’s countdown and shouts of ‘Happy New Year’ filled the air. Spectacular fireworks lit up the midnight sky as New Year celebrations reached full swing under tight security. Following a terrorist attack at Bondi Beach, Australian authorities deployed extensive security measures.
