The Israeli regime is pushing ahead with its air and artillery attacks in the besieged Gaza Strip as the genocidal war enters its tenth month.

The regime forces conducted several massacres across the besieged strip in the past 24 hours.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, at least 55 Palestinians were killed and more than 125 others injured in strikes targeting central and southern Gaza.

The fighting and bombardment in the besieged Palestinian strip raged on unabated on Sunday, with medics and emergency services reporting yet more deaths in several strikes.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said the bodies of six people including two children were taken to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central city of Deir al-Balah.

Paramedics said six people were killed in one strike on a house in Gaza City and three in another elsewhere in Gaza's largest urban area.

Israeli jets have targeted a group of civilians on Street 8 of Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood, killing at least two people.

Israeli drones were firing in Gaza City's Shujaiya district, which has been largely evacuated and rocked by intense battles for two weeks.

Israeli military said it had conducted deadly raids across much of the Gaza Strip, including Shujaiya in the north, Deir al-Balah and Rafah in the south over the past hours.

The day before, the health ministry in Gaza said 16 people had been killed in a strike on a school run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) that was sheltering displaced people in Nuseirat, in central Gaza.

Meanwhile, heavy fighting has been reported in Shujaiya, in central Gaza, as the armed wing of the Hamas resistance movement hit an Israeli Merkava tank with a Yassin-105 rocket. Another tank has also been struck in Rafah.

Meanwhile, the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group says it fired a barrage of mortars on Israeli soldiers and vehicles penetrating the Gaza City neighborhood of Shujayea.

Separately, the group said on Telegram, that its fighters engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli soldiers, using anti-armor and other appropriate weapons west of the city of Rafah.

The latest massacres by Israeli forces have raised the number of Palestinians killed so far to over 38,150 leaving nearly 88,000 others injured.

The war has uprooted 90 percent of Gaza's population, destroyed much of its housing and other infrastructure, and left almost 500,000 people enduring "catastrophic" hunger, UN agencies say.
