Iranian researchers at a prominent knowledge-based company have successfully developed a cutting-edge device for O-ring production, utilizing machine vision technology.

This advancement has the potential to revolutionize the manufacturing industry by enabling tailored product offerings and seamless post-sales support.

The quality and dimensional control device for O-ring manufacturing is a new product of the company that employs algorithms based on machine vision.

Machine vision uses the latest artificial intelligence technologies to give industrial equipment the ability to see and analyze tasks in smart manufacturing, quality control, and worker safety.

It has extensive applications across various industries, including steel, electronics, automotive, polymer, food, pharmaceuticals, medical, and healthcare sectors.

It enables automated oversight of production processes and facilitates the automatic analysis of components for quality assessment.

Mehdi Nadi, CEO of the knowledge-based company, shed light on the diverse applications of machine vision technology, emphasizing its role in transforming manufacturing lines into smart systems, according to ISNA.

Nadi stated the primary application of this technology lies in the car industry, but it extends to other sectors such as healthcare and construction.

“This product has great export potential to regional countries, especially Turkey and the Persian Gulf region, particularly considering that the price of our manufactured product differs significantly compared to the products of reputable German and Italian companies,” he added.

The new technology was unveiled during the the 17th IranPlast International Exhibition in Tehran.
