US pro-Israel bias
Hamas resistance movement has strongly condemned the US House of Representatives’ passing of a resolution claiming Israel is not a racist or apartheid entity. Hamas denounced the resolution as a flagrant bias in favor of Israel. It added that the move encourages the regime to continue its crimes and violations against Palestinian people. Hamas emphasized that the resolution will not change the reality of the criminal and racist Zionist entity, which continues ethnic cleansing and forcible displacement of Palestinians. It said Palestinian people will never abandon their legitimate right to resistance until the liberation of Palestine. The House resolution was passed on Tuesday after chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Pramila Jayapal, called Israel a racist entity.
Israeli crimes
Israeli forces have killed yet another Palestinian youth during a raid in the eastern part of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus. According to Palestinian Health Ministry, 19-year-old Badr Sami Ribhi al-Masri was killed after Israeli forces’ live bullet hit him in the chest. At least 35 Palestinians were also injured in the raid, four of them with live bullet. That after Israeli settlers, backed by the regime forces stormed a shrine in a nearby area. Palestinian Red Crescent said Israeli forces prevented ambulances from reaching those injured and even fired rubber-coated bullets at them. Tensions have been high across the occupied territories since the formation of a far-right Israeli cabinet, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The regime has ramped up its crackdown against Palestinians, which has resulted in a great number of fatalities so far.
More US arms in Ukraine
The United States has announced a new military aid package worth 1.3 billion dollars for Ukraine to help Kiev in its war with Moscow. The package includes air defense systems and related munitions, anti-tank missiles, drones, and other military equipment. It will be supplied through the US defense industry or partners. Reacting to the new package, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hailed Washington’s unwavering support for Kiev. The military assistance comes as Ukrainian forces are fighting to advance against Russian troops in a slow-moving counter-offensive. The US has been leading a coalition of Western states arming Ukraine since the beginning of the war in February 2022. It has provided Kiev with tens of billions of dollars in military aid so far. Russia has repeatedly warned that the influx of Western weapons will only prolong the war and add to the suffering of Ukrainian people.
