Iran satellite launch

Iran has put three domestically-built remote-sensing satellites into low earth orbit, using a Russian launch pad. The new satellites were placed into orbit from Russia’s Vostoch-ny Cosmod-rome launch base, as part of a multi-payload mission. This is the first time Iran simultaneously launches multiple satellites into space. The devices include the country’s heaviest ever satellite, dubbed Tolou-3. It weighs 150 kilograms and is the most advanced observation satellite of Iran, so far. Tolou is 80-percent Iranian-made and represents a major step forward in Indigenization of satellite clusters technology. Tehran has described the mission as a major step forward for the country’s space program. Iran is also planning to launch its first telecommunication satellite cluster, dubbed Shahid Soleimani, next year.

Resistance weapons

The leader of Hezbollah has called demands for the group’s disarmament an American-Israeli plot against Lebanon's sovereignty. In a televised speech, he argued that disarmament would eliminate Lebanon's capability, ultimately serving an Israeli plan to annex Lebanon. Sheikh Qassem vowed that Hezbollah would stand firm and defend the country, which is a legitimate right. He called on the Lebanese government to stop making concessions to the Israeli regime and instead demand a complete end to all attacks, a full Israeli withdrawal, and the start of reconstruction as stipulated by the ceasefire agreement. Sheikh Qassem delivered the speech marking the passing anniversary of Haj Mohammad Hasan Yaghi, a pioneering leader of the Islamic Resistance. He also offered congratulations to Christians in Lebanon and worldwide on the birth of Jesus Christ, whom he described as a prophet of forgiveness, love, and ethics.

HTS Syria violence

At least three people have been killed and ten injured after Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham forces attacked peaceful protest rallies across Syria. The casualties mainly occurred in the coastal city of Lattakia and several neighborhoods in Homs city. HTS forces attacked protesters with machetes in Lattakia, and two cars also opened fire on protesters. In the Wadi Dahab area of Homs, HTS used live ammunition to disperse the demonstrators. Arrests have also taken place. Protesters were demanding federalization, an end to sectarian killings, and the release of prisoners. The peaceful rallies, called by a prominent Alawite spiritual leader, spread to over a dozen cities and towns, including Tartus, Hama, and Jableh, where demonstrators were attacked. The call came following an explosion inside the Imam Ali mosque in Homs province, which left eight people dead.
