Israel Gaza aggression

Israel has carried out fresh airstrikes on Gaza, targeting an apartment building in the southern part of the coastal strip. The attack has so far left at least three people dead and several others injured. It also resulted in the complete destruction of the apartment building. The al-Quds Brigades, which is the military arm of the Islamic Jihad movement, confirmed one of its commanders has been killed in the attack. This is the third day of Israeli aggression on Gaza. The regime started its attacks on the territory on Tuesday. Since then, over two dozen Palestinians have been killed, including several senior members of the Islamic Jihad movement, along with their family members. Palestinians have fired barrages of rockets on the occupied territories in response to the regime’s assaults. The Israeli military claims it has intercepted the rockets, but local media reported that a building was hit in the town of Sderot.

Israeli crimes

The UN chief has condemned the killing of civilians in Israel’s strikes on the Gaza Strip as unacceptable, saying it must stop immediately. A spokesman for Antonio Guterres said Israel must abide by its obligations under international humanitarian law, including the proportional use of force. Farhan Haq added that the regime must also take all feasible precautions to spare civilians and civilian targets in its strikes. Haq said the closure of Gaza border crossings by the regime has prevented the entry of foodstuff and medicine into the besieged territory. The Arab League has also called on the International Criminal Court to complete the criminal investigation into Israel’s war crimes and crimes against humanity. The body said Israel has committed various crimes, including settlement construction, aggression against cities, the killing of civilians, and forced displacement of Palestinians.

Russia-Ukraine war

Russia says it has achieved certain goals in its special military operation in Ukraine, stressing that the operation will continue. The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said Russia has severely damaged the Ukrainian military machine. He, however, admitted that the operation in Ukraine is very difficult. Peskov said Ukraine’s continued shelling of eastern parts of the country taken by Russia, demonstrates the need to continue the operation to push back pro-Kiev forces. He added that Russia has launched countless missile strikes against military targets across Ukraine. Ukraine accuses Russia of hitting civilian targets; an accusation that Moscow denies.
