World freestyle wrestling championships: 3 Iranian athletes reached semi-finals
Iranian freestyle wrestlers in four weight categories went on mat at the World Championships 2022 Thursday morning in Belgrade, Serbia.
Mohammad Nokhodi, Hasan Yazdani and Amir Hossein Zare came victorious in their first and second encounters in 79, 86 and 125 weight classes on the first day of the contests.
Up until now, all three athletes could get semi-finals with powerful and outright showdown against their rivals.
Our famous athlete, Hassan Yazdani faced Sebastien Jezirzanski from Poland in the quarter-final stage of 86 kg class and devastated his rival 11-0.
Yazdani is expecting to take on American wrestler David Taylor in the final stage as both athletes had won over their opponents strongly.
