Barcelona draw 1-1 against Frankfurt in Europa League quarterfinals

Spanish giant Barcelona secured a 1-1 away draw against German team Eintracht Frankfurt in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals Thursday.

A superb long-range strike by Ansgar Knauff, shortly after half-time raised the prospect of a first Barcelona defeat since December.

But in the 66th minute, substitute Frenkie de Jong and Ousmane Dembele combined to set up Ferran Torres for the finish to level the match.

Now an intriguing second leg awaits next week at the Camp Nou with the tie perfectly poised.

Whoever advance will meet either West Ham or Lyon.
