Zare beats Petriashvili to win Iran's 2nd gold medal in world c'ships
In the World Championships currently underway in Oslo, Iran's Amirhossein Zare took the second gold for Team Iran after defeating Geno Petriashvili of Georgia 9-2.
Zare who was competing in the 125 kg category, was 3-2 up in the first round and dominated the second where he added 6 more points to his tally.
This is Iran’s first world gold medal in the heavy weight cass in over 30 years.
Zare was beaten by Petriashvili in the semifinals of the Tokyo Games where the young Iranian pocketed Bronze.
