Greece response to refugees

1. How will Greece respond to the impending refugee Crisis?

2. As the Taliban completes a rapid takeover of the country following the US and NATO’s decision to withdraw, many expect a mass refugee crisis to erupt in Europe with Greece being the first stop for Afghans fleeing conflict. But how do Greeks feel about that considering their governments in the last decade have taken an extremely hostile approach to refugees fleeing conflict.

3. An estimated 400,000 people in the country have been forced to flee their homes since the beginning of the year, according to the United Nations' refugee agency (UNHCR). Relief organizations have raised the alarm on what could only be the beginning of a much bigger humanitarian crisis with devastating consequences for Afghans.

4. Will compassion prevail or will the European Union try to wash their hands of this crisis since the major instigators are the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. All of which are non-Eu members? Only time will tell.
